Microsoft’s flagship product when it comes to Project and Portfolio Management is called Project Online. And if you aren’t in the cloud yet (you really should make an effort) there is also an “on-prem” version called Project Server. These products contain so much additional functionality when we compare it to the stand alone application Microsoft Project. Additional functionality such as Risk management, Portfolio prioritization,  Shared resource pool, powerful company-wide project and resource overviews, App’s and Power BI reporting functionality. About Percent Complete in Microsoft Project

Hello readers,

In this post I will take an extensive look at a set of fields that report progress in the schedule. I will have a close look at the Percentage complete entities within Microsoft Project There are % complete, % work complete fields and then there is also something called Physical % complete. In the field I get asked about the differences between the 3 fields on a regular basis. This post will help clear up some of the confusion, I hope.

Book review: Proactive PPM with Microsoft Project 2013

Proactive PPM with Microsoft Project 2013Finally I got to it. Another book review on Project Server and this time even Project Online! I met the guys at Sensei Project Solutions at the Project Conference in Anaheim. They are a great source of Project Server information, I followed a number of their presentations and also talked to the author of the book; Kenneth Steiness.

Microsoft also acknowledges the company by making it partner of the year 2014. Congratulations guys!
