Here is a little celebration post! Yesterday I passed the Core Solutions of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 exam with 725 points. Woohoo! But not only to celebrate, but also to educate: Here are a number of resources I found very useful.
Here’s how I passed the SharePoint Exam 70-331
A great book I read:
Exam Ref 70-331 Core Solutions of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 (review can be found here)
Two very extensive (and far better) blogs about the core exam brought all the information together:
http://gavinmckay.wordpress.com/2013/04/12/studying-for-exam-70-331-core-solutions-of-microsoft-sharepoint-2013/ Thank you Gavin!
http://spmatt.wordpress.com/2013/11/30/how-i-passed-70-331/ Thank you Matt!
Another nice blogpost I found useful:
A helpful Channel9 video:
And here are the referred to URLs from that video:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/fp123606.aspx (modules 9,12, 13 of SharePoint 2013 video’s)
And last but not least, test environments of my own. Experience can’t be learned from a book or a youtube video. Another great idea, that I didn’t go for, is taking formal training courses for the exam.
I hope this list will help you in your quest for certification, it sure helped me :-). If you pass the exam using any of there resources, please let me know. I would love to hear some success stories from my readers.

Thanks… any other tips on passing the exam? I currently just passed Office 365 and need to do 70-331 and 332 …
Hi JAco, I would suggest looking into the other bloggers as well as the book. However, currently I wouldn’t have more tips. Just be provisioned with the system as much as possible. And find as many bloggers that talk about the exams like I did 🙂
